In Case You Missed It: Oh wait… Everyone missed it!

Rise & Shine

We went back and forth on what our ideal timeline would look and feel like for our big day, and while we didn’t love the idea of a 4 a.m. start time, we did love the idea of having the sunrise and amazing views all to ourselves.

The coffee was flowing not long after our 2 a.m. alarm went off, and in the midst of Lindsay doing her own hair and makeup, and Brandon loading up the Jeep, we snapped this quick selfie before heading out to meet our photographers.

Our ceremony

we did it!

lunch break

After our sunrise ceremony, we took a break to Facetime our close family to share the news and have lunch “in town”. Ouray is absolutely picturesque, even casually, from the restaurant’s rooftop.

Our next adventure is just beginning

Never underestimate the power of hiking poles, especially if your bride is wearing sandals. And yes, the water was VERY cold. And no, Lindsay wasn’t expecting it!

Although it was just the two of us, we asked our parents to join in our elopement by writing letters for us to read on our special day. Their words of encouragement and advice made us laugh and cry, all at the same time. We are so grateful for their love and support as we start our lives together.
